I was lucky enough to try out these gummy vitamins! Smarty Pants Gummy Vitamins are really delicious! I was able to try the Women’s Complete Multi + Omega 3s + Vitamin K2. It’s in all in one vitamin! And…. My favorite part, made in the USA, free if GMOs, yeast, wheat, milk, eggs, soy allergens, shellfish, high fructose corn syrup, synthetic colors, artificial flavors/preservatives/and salicylates!

These yummy vitamins include:

-Multivitamin
-Eco-friendly Omega 3 EPA & DHA
-Vitamin K2/MK7
-CoQ10
-L-Methylfolate

Best Ways to Relax!

Happy Friday Friends!!!!

STRESS?! Do you have stress in your life?! I know I do, I bet you do too.  And guess what…not to deliver all the bad news on a Friday…however, you will always have stress in your life! It’s not going anywhere.  “Stressors” came in all shapes and sizes, stress does not discriminate.  BUT…I am here to tell you, one thing that can change, is how you DEAL with stress. You have all the control! It’s so important to find ways to RELAX! In honor of Stress Awareness Month, I thought I would share some great things that work for me!

Breathe Mindfully. I tell you what friends, deep breathing really works.  Place your hands on your stomach, breathe in deeply, pushing/feeling your hands move with each breath, and exhale deeply.  Do this five times.  You will feel more relaxed instantly.  Once I started practicing this, I noticed a big difference in how I deal with “stressful” situations.  It goes a long way…go ahead, try it!

Pamper Yourself! Yes, I mean it.  Take a bubble bath.  Take an extra long shower.  Get a manicure.  Whatever floats your boat! Treat YO self! I always feel better when I do. Do something you enjoy, quality “ME” time!

Move More! Yes, you didn’t think I would forget exercise, did you?! Move more and move often.  Get your heart rate up, break a serious sweat.  Your body will release those endorphin’s, you know, those feel good chemicals! Just do it, you’ll thank me later!!!

Create a Sanctuary. Light a candle.  clean your room.  hang a picture that makes your feel happy. Turn on your essential oil diffuser.  Create a room that feels positive! Do whatever it takes to create a sense of peace!

Read! Read something that you enjoy, simply for pleasure! All I know is when I divulge myself into a reallllllly good book, I don’t think of anything else! My mind is relaxed and next thing you know, two hours have passed by!

Hang with your pet! Maybe its just me, but when I hang with Henry or Louie…My heart just bursts! It makes me feel good when I snuggle with those cuties.

Aromatherapy! You know how much I LOVE my essential oils!!  My life is so much better with them in it.  I use so many for so many different reasons, including relaxation.  Lavender and grounding blend are my go to’s for stress relief! If you would like a sample…send me email! myhealthypassion1@gmail.com

These are just a few things I do for relaxation…What do you do to relax?! Any tips?!

The Skimm

Hi guys, this post is short and sweet, right to the point! What do you know about current events?!

Have you ever been asked about a current event and have nothing to say or maybe while at a party there is group of your friends talking about a hot topic, and your like UGH what?!?!   Ya, use to happen to me all the time. I’ll admit it! I mean, yes, I read the news, and would follow certain stories but I never knew enough to really engage in a conversation about it!   So a few months ago, a friend told me I should look up The Skimm…I said that WHAT?!image1

So I signed up.  I LOVE it.  Every weekday, I get an email from The Skimm.  Pretty much, they “skim” the top news stories from around the world.  You get a glimpse of all current events, and its so easy to understand! I love that its short and right to the point!

I would highly suggest you all go right now to sign up… The Skimm!

This is  based from my opinion, I was not asked to post this, I simply just love to share my thoughts and truly love it!

How do you get your news?! How do you stay up to date?!

Core Crusher

WOW, its cold in Pittsburgh. As expected,it is January. But still, it’s just shockingly (is that a word?!) cold!!!

So I have a great core workout for you to warm up the body! I am not a fan of “AB” exercises.  They aren’t my favorite, unlike squats, I could do those for days (I know, strange!) But I find core circuits to be fun and a challenge that I like.  There are several different exercises on here, so its a good variety.  I created this for my own  workout but also tried  with a client, and she loved it! If you try it, let me know what you think!Core Crusher

Now, on to food. I am always looking for healthy recipes to try to  and also keep my interest in meal planning! I love to cook! So, I was searching SkinnyTaste which is one of my favorite spots to go to find new recipes…and This recipe sparked my interest.  Crock Pot Balsamic Pork Roast.   Guys, it was SOOO good, you have to try it! and anything in the crock pot is a WIN! I made it on Sunday and ate it on top of a large salad and same with Monday night. It had SO much flavor! I did splurge on a pork shoulder from Whole Foods simply because I am trying to buy better animal products when I do eat them. (That’s a whole post topic in it of itself) I feel it was definitely worth it.  Also, if your counting Weight Watcher Points, it was 5PP for a 3 oz serving! You must try it!

Have a fantastic Thursday, stay warm!

What are your least favorite types of exercise?! Do you have a must try recipe?!

The Idea of Yoga

How was everyone’s Monday?! Yesterday, was great! Jumped right back into the swing of things. It was a day of catching up on lots of emails/calls/and work. It was definitely a long Monday! I even ended my day with a little body pump!IMG_3020

Oh and can we talk about The Bachelor?! Can you say #drama My goodness! Lots of crazies and fun! Who do you like so far?! I still think it’s too soon to tell, but I did like Brit! I can wait to see what this season hold, my total Monday night guilty pleasure!

Today, I am trying a yoga class. I don’t really “like” yoga but I think I love the idea of yoga. I personally feel It’s too slow, leaves me with my thoughts, thinking of everything else I could be doing, makes me feel anxious… Not sure why?! You may be thinking… Then why are you going to a yoga class? #weirdo
Because my friends, I feel need it. I need the movement, I need the calmness, stillness, and to learn how to center my thoughts. I’m not even sure I know what the means. But the “idea” of centering my thoughts sounds like what I need. I constantly crave the feeling that yoga gives…Or maybe it’s the idea of yoga I crave. That “let it be” motto, go with flow attitude, calm ora that I’m striving for in 205. Is that real life? I mean, come on?! Any yogis out there, can you justify!
One of my “intentions” for the new year is to be more mindful. More mindful in all I do! To be present in all moments. And that folks, is hard for me! I think it’s hard for most, right?! I can’t be alone in thinking that! That’s why yoga and meditative practices are so challenging for me. I mean, #TheStruggleIsReal.
I came across this article tonight and wanted to share and thought you guys would like it… 12 ways yoga changed my life.
Do you take yoga? How do you practice mindfulness?
